Caddo Lake / Big Cypress Bayou

Caddo Lake and Big Cypress Bayou on the Texas–Louisiana line — a flooded cypress forest with bottomland oaks and pine-hardwood uplands in Caddo Lake State Park and WMA. Chanterelles, boletes and black trumpets after summer rains; oysters, chicken-of-the-woods and hen-of-the-woods on the hardwoods in fall.
