Casper Mountain and the northern Laramie Range — ponderosa and limber pine with aspen pockets on an island mountain above the Platte, reaching toward Laramie Peak in the Medicine Bow NF. Morels follow snowmelt in May–June; boletes, Suillus and other conifer associates after July thunderstorms. County park, state and national forest land.
