The Cuyamaca and Laguna Mountains east of San Diego — black oak, coast live oak, Jeffrey and Coulter pine in Cuyamaca Rancho State Park and the Cleveland NF. Winter and spring rains bring chanterelles, boletes and Amanita under the oaks; oysters on dead wood. State park rules apply inside Cuyamaca.
