Lake Oahe and the Missouri River breaks around Mobridge — cottonwood, green ash and bur oak in the coulees and river bottoms of north-central South Dakota. Spring morels in the bottomland woods; oysters on cottonwood and puffballs in the grasslands after rain. Corps of Engineers and state recreation areas give public access.
