Redwood Coast / Six Rivers NF

The Redwood Coast of Humboldt and Del Norte counties with the Six Rivers NF and Smith River NRA — coast redwood, Douglas-fir, tanoak and Sitka spruce in a famously productive mushroom coast. Chanterelles, king boletes, hedgehogs, candy caps and matsutake in fall and winter rains. Collecting rules differ between national forest and the redwood parks.
