The Santa Rosa Range north of Winnemucca in the Humboldt-Toiyabe NF — aspen and mountain mahogany on high slopes, cottonwood and willow in the canyons. Morels in the aspen after snowmelt; puffballs and Agaricus in the meadows after summer storms.
